Tim's Pharmacy Staff

Nancy and Tim moved to Yelm in June 1979. They purchased the store in July 1979 from Ed and Kathy Pickett. Ed and Kathy had owned Pickett's Drug Store for 30 years. The Pickett's had purchased it from Mr. Patterson who owned Patterson's for 30 years. As you can see, Tim's Pharmacy and Gift Shop has a long history in Yelm.

Tim graduated from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy in 1975 and worked for a chain store for 7 years before coming to Yelm. Nancy graduated from the University of Washington and has a degree in Sociology and Early Childhood Education. She taught third grade before coming to Yelm. They have four grown children: Andy, Ben, Stephanie & Emily.

Nancy home schooled our four children through the eighth grade then started to work full time at the store. She does the bookkeeping, straw bossing, and is one of the buyers for our gift department. We have been very fortunate to work together and have our children work with us. It has been more like a farm than a Pharmacy. We have been provided with time to watch our children grow and be with them to partake in their activities. It has truly been a blessing.

Andy, Tim and Nancy's son, is a medical student at the University of Washington. He worked with us at the pharmacy for several years as a pharmacist before going to medical school. He is currently doing his medical clerkships.

Andy & Kim have two children- Drew and Hannah. Kim has a Masters ‘degree in education. She taught 8th grade math before starting their family.

Ben, also Tim and Nancy’s son, graduated from U of W School of Pharmacy with a Pharm D degree March 2004 and was licensed May 2004. He has expertise in compounding, disease management and pharmaceutical care.

Ben & Ashely got married in August 2006. Ashley also works at the pharmacy.

Tim and Nancy have two married daughters. Stephanie and David were married Aug 2001. David is in the Army. He is currently stationed at Fort Lewis. Stephanie has an associate degree in art and enjoys doing art projects. Emily & Bryon were married in 2006. Bryon is in the Marines. He is stationed at Fort Lejeune, NC. They have one daughter, Keria. Emily is working on completing her associate’s degree.

Denise has been at Tim’s Pharmacy since early 1989. She and her husband have resided in the Yelm area for over 30 years. They have one daughter. Denise is a Pharmacy Technician, she does many jobs from typing prescriptions to counting medications.

Stacy, our Manager, has been with Tim’s Pharmacy since 1997. She and her husband Dave, have been residents in the Yelm area most of their lives. They have two children, Kayla and Austin. Before coming to Tim’s she worked for Jayhawks. Stacy you will find busy almost every where in the store. If she is not busy creating displays she is helping a customer with gift ideas.

Tanya has been at Tim’s Pharmacy since 1989. She and her husband Mike live in the Yelm area. They have 3 children and five grandchildren. Tanya is a pharmacy technician. Her main task is counting out your prescriptions. If she is not doing that you will see her helping you while you are picking up your prescriptions.

Janet began at Tim’s Pharmacy in 1990. She and her husband Bob live in Yelm. Janet has 2 grown children and four grandchildren. Before Tim’s, Janet worked for Payless Northwest in Spanaway. Janet is a pharmacy technician and she is usually the one who takes your prescriptions in the pharmacy.

Diana started at Tim’s Pharmacy 1992. She and her husband Earl live in the Tacoma area. They have 3 grown children. Earl is a pastor at Fellowship Bible Church in Tacoma. Diana works on the retail floor and is also a cashier. If you can’t find her just listen and you will hear her humming some choral from church.

Elga came to Tim’s Pharmacy in 1997. She works part time as a pharmacist. She worked previously for Walgreen's. Her husband’s name is Nicholas and she lives in Olympia with her chickens. If she is not at the pharmacy she is busy taking care of her grandson.

Bona is part of our wonderful staff at Tim's Pharmacy

Bona has had two stints with Tim’s Pharmacy. She first started in 1995. She came back after having her second child in 1998. She and her husband live in the Roy area. They have two children. Bona is a technician in the pharmacy. Her main responsibility is packaging prescriptions in special compliance packaging for residents in nursing homes, assisted care facilities and private homes.

Vicki started at Tim’s Pharmacy in 2002. She and her husband Dale live in the Yelm area. Vicki has two children. Her daughter is a senior at Yelm High School, and her son is currently a sophomore in college. Vicki is the smiling face and hearty laugh you hear when you pick up your prescriptions.

Cindy joined Tim's in June 2003, you can find her decorating and moving things around or taking care of the candy. Her duties also include updating this website & advertising. Cindy and her husband Steve live in the Rainier area and enjoy gardening and spending time with their family. They have four grown children Paul, Jon, Vinny & Alix.

Yes we have another Vickie. Her and her husband live in the Rainier area. They have one son named Greg. Her responsibilities are to handle all of medical billing in the pharmacy department.

Ashley began at Tim’s Pharmacy April 2004. Transplanted from Cold Spring, New York she came here to be closer to her family in Olympia. She gained experience in retail working for her parents who had a gift shop in New York. She enjoys art and her cats. Ben and Ashley were married in August of 2006.

Joel grew up in Yelm and went to school locally. He joined us as a pharmacy technician early 2006. During his time off he enjoys playing with his English Lab Jake.

Melodea graduated from Yelm High School where she was very active in Student Government and FFA. She will start college at Pierce this coming fall. She is pictured in front of the webkinz which she stocks and takes care of in addidtion to her other duties. She enjoys playing Fast Pitch and other outdoor recreation in her spare time.

Tressa is a Sales Associate in the Gift Shop. She has been employed at Tim's since May 2007. Tressa has been married to her husband Ernesto for 8 yrs, has 4 step-children & a son, Ryder who's 3 yrs old. She enjoys spending time with family & friends and loves to travel.

Kelli is part of our wonderful staff here at Tim's

Kelli started Tim's originally in 2003 and worked in the Gift Shop, she left to go to school and returned in 2007 as a Pharmacy Technician. Kelli & her husband Matt live in the Yelm area.

Sarah is also a graduate of the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. She received her Bachelors of Science in 1997 and her PharmD in 1998. Prior to joining Tim's Pharmacy in January 2008, Sarah gained experience as a clinical pharmacist, an assistant professor of pharmacy, and a pharmacy preceptor. When not at Tim's, she enjoys spending time with her husband & two young children.

Kayla has lived in the Yelm/Roy area all her life. She joined Tim's in our Gift Shop in January 2008. Kayla enjoys her animals and is a big John Deere fan.

Alix came to Tim's in March 2008, she has recently accepted an internship to work full time in the pharmacy, and is now being trained to be a Pharmacy Technician.

Rebekah has lived in the Yelm/Rainier area for most of her life. She joined Tim's in November 2008. Rebekah enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with her friends and family.

Denise worked for us previously and we are happy to have her back working up front with us again. She lives in the Yelm area with her husband and two sons Patrick and Tyler.

Desarae grew up locally. She works with us as a Pharmacy Technician. She and her fiance live in the Yelm area with their five children.

Anna

Anna is very active in her youth group and graduated with her Associates degree from high school last year. She joined Tim's up front in September 2009.

Carroll is a senior at Yelm High School. She started at Tim's in July 2009 and works after school up front with us. She likes to play basketball in her spare time.
